Sage is an aromatic shrub plant of the Lamiaceae family. Its name, which has a Roman origin, refers to the capacity of this herb to cure many diseases. The active part of this plant are the leaves, which contain essential oils that consist mainly of alpha and beta-thujone, camphor and cinneol, tannins, rosmarinic acid, flavonoids, diterpenes and triterpenes. Properties Traditionally, sage has been used as: Antimicrobial and antifungal: mainly thanks to its essential oil, and to a certain antiviral action. Anti-inflammatory: thanks to the rosmarinic acid. Hormone regulator: thanks to the phytoestrogens that alleviate menopause and dysmenorrhea symptoms. Astringent Secretion stimulator Antiperspirant: to control hyperhidrosis. Main indications Mucosa infections and inflammations. Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) Female hormonal imbalances (menopause and dysmenorrhea). Directions 1 or 2 capsules daily, with a glass of water. Warnings It is recommended to take it in a discontinuous way. Pregnancy and breast-feeding: It is not recommended to take.
